The power of 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins

What is the 5 Second Rule?

The five-second rule is simply defined as, if you have an instinct to act on a goal, you must physically move within five seconds. Otherwise, your brain will kill it.

When you feel yourself hesitate for doing something that you know you should do, count 5-4-3-2-1 and move towards action. if you do not take action in 5 seconds your mind will change and you do nothing. Most of the time when we have to do something but we hesitate and feel shy to do something new we can use this 5 seconds rule to act on our goal. You can prevent your mind from working against you. Just Start backward counting 5-4-3-2-1. The counting will focus on your goal. When you reach "1" push yourself move. If you did not make a decision in five seconds you will be stuck and nothing new will happen nothing will change.
